Binocular crisis!

Towards the end of our trip away my Leica bins developed a fault, they are now away for repair resulting in me being without bins, does anyone have a spare pair I could borrow until my own return please?

Thanks to everyone for their generous offers (including those who contacted me directly). I am waiting for a reply from Leica as to how long mine will take, if they're not due back for a couple of days I'll be in contact

Could lend you Ellen's Niecsas - field of view is stunning. Alternatively inside bits of two bog rolls some Sellotape and cling film will do the trick.

Good idea Alastair but where do you get multi coated cling film in Calderdale?

Nick, it's not the cling film that's such an issue, I have a real problem with the Lego focusing wheel. However the Niecsas have a great spec - I'll get the latest technical gen and advertising up on my blog soonest.

This change to the new Blogger thing really seems to be causing problems, unfortunately I don't know enough about it to help. I faffed around for ages and eventually managed to get to a position where I could post again, I'm afraid I can't be sure exactly how I managed it but think the following was what I did!...

On the calderbirds screen click on "Blog This" at the top, this gives a window that says "New to Blogging?"

At the bottom of the text bit it says "Do you Blog on an old blogger? and then gives an option to "click here" to log in.

When you click on this it gives a sign in screen, enter your username and password (as for old blogger) and click sign in.

Then you have to enter your Google account password which I was prompted to set up when I transferred to the new Blogger, enter the new Blogger password you chose and this should open a window known as the "dashboard" listed on which are the Blogs you have access to, select the Calderbirds Blog and away you go.

Nick

Ive been trying this for weeks and all it says is this service not available at the moment. All they,re doing is trying to get everybody onto the new blog like NK did with Hillbilly. Ive no problems with this but no way can I get back onto an old blog. BS

Andy, you need to create a Google account at https://www.google.com/accounts/Login. But this should be part of the migration process from the old blogger - Once you have an account and have logged in click on the Blogger icon and it should take you to your Dashboard - if you've migrated your account from the old Blogger then the dashboard should be the place to post from - you need to change your bookmarks and not get confused between the old and new dashboard ... it should already be set up - if it isn't aaahhhh you are a lost soul.

Ive created a Google account to get on the new blogger but all that shows on my dashboard is : birdbrain: Maybe thats refering to me and not Nigels blog,
If I try for the Calderbirds old blog it cancels saying service not available. ? BS

I can see the Calderdale Blog. But blogger is behaving oddly, photos uploaded with Picasa have disappeared off the site - i've had to replace them - see if they'll last. Sorry Brian limit of my knowledge.
