CJ Wildbirdfoods

Since we have ordered quite a considerable amount of bird food from CJ (both as a Group and individually) I thought I'd try and negotiate a discount, got a reply saying they were prepared to offer 5% when our total purchases reached £5000!! What do they think we're feeding for God's sake?

So we only have to spend £10000 and we get £3 knocked off a £30 bag of seed, thats not bad , we just need a lot more Twite to eat it all.

Generous aren't they?

Hi Nick
I found them very friendly when I spoke with them today about placing some orders. I am getting phone call back tomorrow from their rep, I will ask him about the discount and why its so poor. I suspect someone has quoted you trade rate (they flog it to re-sellers)or business rate.

Nick sure I've been quoted 20 or 25% discount in the past. Good look Paul, Nick if I'm kidnapped in Malta by irrate hunters please leave the negotiating to the professionals cheers.

I've stopped using CJ because although their prices are competitive their feeders are not well designed (collapso) and more importantly it's not clear where their seed is sourced. I've been using Vine House Farm - they grow much of their own, even had a go at Nyger, prices are close, delivery included and very efficient.

I have been buying seed from Miall Street (near sellit centre) below Queens Road. Forgot suppliers name. Its good quality and 12 pounds for 20KG
