Fly Flats 10.30-12.15

A beautiful morning for a walk though not very much about - but just to prove (to myself) that I can make a (first) post -
6 Black-headed gulls
1 Kestrel
3 Stonechat
5 Red Grouse
1 Crow
I didn't spot any Twite - though I did meet a Bradford birder looking for them.
Question - I believe there is a Twite feeding station there. Where do I look for it?

If you walk down the track to the reservoir at the Hx end and continue to walk on the banking to the West of the reservoir you can look down onto the feeding station which is about half way on by the circular building. The seed is put on the dirt track near the wire gates and the Twite usually sit on the roof of the building or on the gate and fencing. There is also usually Stonechat in that area. Hope you,re lucky. Bri

A warm welcome to you Bill, Brian is the local expert on that area and I'm not sure if your planning on making that area of Calderdale your local patch but he's always turning something up there every once in a while. Keep up the posting and happy birding.
