Halifax Town Centre

Female Blackbird still at the nest site in a car park this afternoon and the male nearby. Can't see into the nest - suspect they still have eggs as she has been brooding for just over a week at least now.

I carry a small mirror. The nest recorders handbook (BTO) even suggests getting one that will clamp on the end of a stick.
Flushing a sitting bird should only be done if the weather is dry/ warm and no predators about, it says. Blackbirds are not prone to deserting easily.
