Cromwell Bottom 25/4/08

Nothing earth shattering, but Whitethroats are now in the scrub around the lagoon. I did not see them myself (it was peeing down this morning when I get there) but a birder I see around told me he had seen 1 pair and 1 male in the scrub round the lagoon.

Herons nest apprears to have two young we think.

1 Common Sandpiper feeding on the edge of the water ski lake just after it had stopped peeing it down.
2 Tufted Duck on the water and 1 G C Grebe.
Good numbers of hirundines around, c30 Sand Martin, c200 Swallow & c20House Martin
