20,Swallows,2 House martin and 3 Sand Martin on the lake , 8 Chiff -Chaff,2 Blackcap,Linnet. bullfinch ,Skylark,Grey wagtail (singing), and Song Thrush around the river.
Soil Hill
Picked up NK on the way up there and had a good look round this morning .Started with Lapwing,LRP,Skylark and Meadow Pipit on the top and then down the slope to look for migrants,no luck with Wheatear,a Curlew flew over calling and 2 Snipe also.A couple of Linnets and a Reed Bunting were calling from the juncuss.Then we bumped into KMoir who was watching 2 Stonechats the male was showing characteristics of the continental race Rubicola,rubicola(showing a white rump)it looked very good for this .Any of you photographers out there it would be good to get a photo of this bird.
