Pink-footed Goose Spectacular

Between 10.45 and 12.00 this morning from a garden with a wide view of the sky at Saville Park, Pink-feet went over skein after skein.
My count was seven between those times, numbering in total 870 birds.
Two groups were very high and hardly audible, others were quite low. All were heading west.
These were the most I have seen over Halifax in one fly past event.

Last monday a flock of 11 finches in a field at Barkisland turned out to be 10 Goldfinches and 1 Greenfinch.
