I could be wrong, but I believe that's the first whitethroat of the year in Calderdale Mike.

Hi Mike
Could you keep a close eye on the swans please. We had some problems with a badly injured female swan from the angling lake a couple of years back which had to be put down by the RSPC.

I have a recollection that there was a report of someone attacking the swans down there some time ago, one killed?

Hi Nick
The difficulty was in proving it. I did try at the time to get witnesses to come forward but for various reasons they would not so the culprit got away with it. Thats why I hope people will keep an eye on them and the other birds on the angling lake
