Hove Edge 'pecker

At the end of a pleasant but uneventful walk around Hove Edge, it was great to have super views of a male Lesser S 'pecker drumming away at the top branch of a dead tree - about 200 metres from my front door (Catherine Slack). Even more intriguing was watching it disappear into a freshly created hole on the same tree trunk; this looks like one to keep a careful eye on !

Its made my day Mike.
I pass twice every day and had a possible sighting there three weeks ago down near the bottom of the road.

Well done Mike
