Following on from a comment on an earlier post in which Dave Sutcliffe suggested the next good bird at Whiteholme might be a Grey Plover I have returned from the birdfair to find an e mail from Martyn Hayes saying he had just that on Saturday, not just a Grey Plover but also 3 Ringed Plover and 2 Dunlin. He visited again today when the Ringed plovers had increased to 7.
What next Dave, any chance a request?

Its about time we had Wood sandpiper,Curlew sandpiper,Spotted redshanks,Little stint and a Pectoral sandpiper ......!!!!
What about a phalarope!. I think we are due a Skua too!
Black-necked Grebe 1979 was the last one.
