Back Lane;
c100 Swallows
2 Golden Plover flushed by a Sparrowhawk
6+ Kestrels
c40 Meadow Pipits, 30 Goldfinch and 2 Linnets in the thistle areas
c20 Lesser Black backed Gulls S>

Also a report from NK of a juvenile Hobby on the northern slope of Soil Hill early afternoon

Are they sure it was a juvenile and not a first summer Hobby. I would expect juvs to be just about fledging now and would not be independent for at least another 2 or 3 weeks ??

I was on the western slope and missed the hobby!
Lots of Swallows and 3 Swifts.
