Waders at Whiteholme

But sadly not a Phalarope!

Received a text from Alan whilst at work to say there were waders at Whiteholme, a Whimbrel, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Redshank and a Dunlin to be precise. Dave S made it there by 5 o clock when the birds were still present, by the time I got there around half past seven there were only the 2 Ringed Plovers left. Good to bump into Martyn Hayes birding Whiteholme again though.

While I was there a Peregrine went over at 4.45 and flushed all the waders. Strangely enough they all returned to the same areas they had been feeding in - the Whimbrel, Redshanks and Dunlin returned to the island and it was great to hear the Whimbrel calling.

How about a Grey Plover next?
