Hi David,
I think the Pied Wags still roost near Bull Green (Isaw one flying around in the dark last Tues.)

My brother works at Eureka and says his colleaugue got a pic of a pere down on the grass there with a pigeon it had just caught. I'm waiting for the copy to come through.

The mallard flock at People's park is reliable. I have had similar counts on 2 dates through all the hard weather.

Hi Steve - we had a good look for Pere on the tall buildings today without success but they must still be about. Good to get one on the ground with a pigeon.
Pied wags were starting to come into town centre at 4.45 but not sure where they were heading to roost.
The small flock of House Sp were to the rear of 'The Gardens' at the back of the old Infermry. They were the only ones we could find - BUT there must be other colonies?

Well done Dave. The winter visits are hard work in areas where there aren't many birds. You've also reminded me that I'll have to get out and complete my Atlas squares.

If anyone finds the roost, let me know. I should have made an effort to film them last year by the Woolshops, but never got round to it. Must try to make up for last years slackness. I couldn't locate a roost around Bull Green or the Woolshops when I looked in December.
