White Holme

Grey Plover this evening - male in stonking summer plumage - flushed by a Peregrine at 19:00. Also 2 Dunlin, 3 Ringed Plover, 1 Oystercatcher and 2 Wheatear

15 Shelduck on Blackstone Edge resr - 3 adults and 12 juvs

Nice record Simon, seems your the only birder going to Whiteholme at the moment.

I walked up on Friday morning and turned round when I got to the res - the rain had soaked through my trousers and I couldn't see anything through my glasses - the wind was straight in my face! Just poor timing on my part as when I got back to the car the rain stopped.
