Elland GP Saturday

A bit late on this, keep forgetting my login. Common Redpoll on Saturday at EGP. Also 4 curlew in the fields across the road.

Jay House Lane area seems to have a roost of thrushes somewhere, about 15:00 numbers build up from a dozen to into the hundreds in a short space of time.

On the subject of supermarket binoculars, Lidl have 30x60's on sale this thursday at £15. A bit big for nieces and nephews but worth a look.

Ver well done, excellent photos Jim, I arrived after you left on Saturday and they were extremely flighty, similarly yesterday when at least 3 Mealies with c70 Lessers were south of the bridge that leads to Tag Loop.

They seem to prefer feeding on silver birch whereas Siskin are favouring alder.

I like the photo's Jim and a good find with the Curlew too. We don't get many December records -although they must fly over from coast to coast in cold weather movements.
