Brighouse Waxwings.

Discovered a flock of 121 Waxwings at Lane Head on 01/12/10 in very poor light. Returned today to get some decent shots, but they are very mobile so only got a few. Then drove home and to my suprise found another flock of 50/60 only 100yds from home on Stratton Rd and these also are very mobile. Also yesterday a Peregrine flew over towards J25 at lunchtime. photo also of a stunning albino Blackbird in my garden but it is a long shot thro D/Glazing. Is this a record for numbers of Waxwings in Brighouse.

Great photos Mike but haven't you had any snow in Brighouse?

Plenty snow and the Blackbird was captured on 28/11. At EGP this morning most of all the open water is frozen and walking down there is dodgy but does not stop me from getting out.

the snow must have been photoshopped out!

Good pics, Mike; were the Waxwings in the small car park just off Waterloo Rd ? They seem to be absent whenever I've looked.
Had 5 Blackbirds in the garden this week as well as 11 other species -all common, so far.
