Lapwings seem to be filtering back Jeff. Hope we don't get another long cold spell like December or they will be off back to the coast.

When I go to Hyde to see family, the local winter Lapwings roost in the day on the roof-top of Iceland or Morrisons in the middle of Hyde. They often fly above the town centre when disturbed and are occasionally joined by Golden Plover. I do wonder if they feed at night in the fields (or go to the coast)and roost in the day on the big flat roofs.
Has anyone else experienced this anywhere ?
