Crimsworth Dean

Very quiet for birds in the dean today even though the weather picked up a bit from 11.30 ish

92 Pink-footed Geese headed west at 11.05
1 Green Woodpecker
2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers
1 Nuthatch
2 Grey Partridge higher up the dean
19 Fieldfare
10 Mistle Thrush (and singing)
1 Common Buzzard at a distance high over the moor

Sorry to labour the Birdtrack theme Dave but would these be entered as a series of "casuals" or as a "list"?

No problem Nick - Thay were entered as a list for SD93V the tetrad for the upper dean - along with all the other bits and pieces ie thrushes/tits/finches/pheasant etc...
I generally keep count notes of all species as I go on - or a hand held recorder is easier (as long as it records ok!)mine is down at the moment.

Cheers Dave, the more I get involved with Birdtrack the more I like it, very embarrassed to say it has taken me so long to get round to using it properly. I suggest other birders take a look, once you get the hang of it its a great way to make your info count.
