Tree Sparrow Main Colony

Two of us were replacing repaired nest boxes and painting numbers on as many as we could today. With thanks to Paul, countryside volunteer, for the repairs.

The one on the big oak at the top had had a dead fledgling in last autumn but today there was a fresh nest (of hay and straw.) No eggs.

There were plenty of sparrows about.

A big weasel , no black tail-tip - so not a stoat, crossed the road.
