House Sparrows

 A real bumper breeding season for House Sparrows at Northowram this year with a massive 55 in the garden on sunday morning.Lesser Black - Backed Gulls and BH Gulls on the move east and west , a first summer Hobby today low over fields chasing Swallows was the highlight of very wet weekend.

Good numbers of House Sparrows there Andy and it does indeed seem to be a good year for them. I've seen good sized flocks too, but as big as 55! Hobby is always a special bird to me and I'd love to see one locally up here - I'll never give up hope 'cos you never know what may turn up.
