Ringstone Res'r

Had a great afternoon at Ringstone with Daniel - with the Great Northern Diver giving excellent views from the hide. Unusually at this time of year (as far as I know) the bird gave a burst of it's eerie song which I guess is only heard on it's breeding grounds in Iceland or Northern Canada. I know Mike H also heard it calling/singing earlier in the week and wonder if anyone else also heard it over these last few days?

1 Cormorant also present along with 19 Golden Plover in the fields and c40 Lapwing

Unfortunatley not managed to upload any photos yet as trying out a new programme which doesn't seem to want to know!

Yes, I heard call yesterday, but once only, and it was a rather curtailed version of the full call.
