Various sites

A fantastic day with the Great Northern Diver showing so well at Ringstone at least till 3 pm but maybe still there till dusk?

2 Swallows also passed through Ringstone this morning (TM and SL)

Around 10 am c100 Fieldfares and c20 Redwings were around the fields at Barkisland looking disorientated in the misty conditions and a passing Sparrowhawk showing interest in these migrants from northeren Europe!
Thousands of Fieldfares and Redwings counted today just outside our recording area moving over the Oxenhope watchpoint with other flocks passing over Soil Hill (along with Meadow Pipits and some Skylarks), Queensbury, and Ringstone in the afternoon and probably many other areas of Calderdale. Also several reports of lots of Goldcrests around at Ringstone and Roils Head yesterday and today.
