Shelf area

Possible Ring Ouzel reported this morning (thanks to BS from a customer at the garage) with winter thrushes by a Cricket Field by Shelf Moor described as a Blackbird with a large white collar! The area has been checked briefly today by AC, TM and SL in poor conditions without success but the area is well worth keeping a check on!
A Ring Ouzel has been reported today (thanks to BirdGuides)at Horwich near Manchester so there is a chance for one in our area.
Always worth a careful check of all winter thrush flocks!
