Fly Flatts

This morning just a single Twite and more seed put down.
25 Golden Plover in a group on the moor including some northern forms in good plumage
c10 Curlew
5 Redshank
2 Lapwing
2 Snipe 'chipping'
1male Stonechat by the feeding area
A good number of mipits and 2 Skylark
2 Linnet >NE
Mud appearing so lets hope this continues and some migrant waders start dropping in
The fire is out on the moor!

Checked the Midgley seed last night, no twite but lots of farmer and tractor activity affecting the site, most of seed crushed into ground.

Same at Fly Flatts as fencing contractors are replacing the old fence lines and turning vehicles by the feeding area. Also a lot of activity on the moor towards Oxenhope. Think they are trying to regenerate bare areas of moorland and stop erosion.

Yep, pass via Cock Hill every day, lots of effort going in, hope it pays off.

A good report from Fly Dave, I can,t seem to connect with those Stonechat.
Glad the fire,s out and the Back Lane donkey didnt get a grip of you,very noble of you to distract it whilst Jen snooked past.
