A Query

Hi all - Just seen an internal email at the Council that suggests that Peregrines nest regularly at site in Halifax town centre (which they named).   I know Kestels nested at this site in the past but have not heard that peregrines had moved.  I suspect the report is mistaken but can any one confirm the facts?
Thanks

PS looks like the herons are building again - spring is getting closer !

I think you are correct Mark, they are Kestrels. Though a pair were nearby earlier this year but only seen on one occasion and seemed to move on. A pair did show an interest in the site a few years ago but did not breed. I think the female was an immature.

I saw the pair at said site in December I think it was. They were using the site to pluck and devour their prey
