Mixenden Res'r and Hunter Hill

4 Goldeneye (1 drake) on the res'r
180 B H Gulls
50 Common Gulls
c35 Jackdaws

Hunter Hill
5 Herring Gulls went over north (1 ad, 2 - 3rd winter and 2- 1st winter birds closely followed by a massive adult Great Black-backed Gull again heading north towards Ogden/Thornton Moor and calling. It looked fantastic showing every detail of the underwing.

3 Roe Deer nearby
2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers
1 Kestrel over the golf course

Both cold edge dams totally frozen this aft so nowt on. Around 20 grouse were together up there . Sparrowhawk near delvers.

Lots of open water at Mixenden but not sure what Ogden is like.

Ogden was completely ice free on Sunday morning same as Mixenden.
Nice one on the gulls Dave, shame we can,t get any down.
